Editing Generated Content
The AI gets you 90% of the way there — but the last 10% is human polish. Every generated channel can be edited inline before you send it.
How to edit
- Open a generated week
- Find the channel panel you want to tweak (e.g., Facebook Post)
- Click Edit
- Make your changes in the textbox
- Click Save
That's it. Your edits are stored on the channel and used whenever you copy or send it.
Why edit instead of regenerate
Regenerating writes over everything. If you've spent 5 minutes perfecting your Instagram caption and then realize the email needs work, don't regenerate — just edit the email panel directly.
What you'll often want to tweak
- Pastor's name spelling — the AI sometimes shortens "Jonathan" to "John"
- Service times — double-check the AI didn't reword these
- Names of people in prayer requests — easy to miscapitalize
- Specific scripture references — verify the citation format matches your church's style
- Internal nicknames — e.g., "the Hub" for your fellowship hall
Character/word counts
Each channel shows a live character or word count below the editor. Some channels have hard limits:
- SMS Blast — 160 characters (anything over costs an extra message segment)
- Upcoming Events — 280 characters (matches your Link Page card size)
The count goes red when you're over the limit.
Tips
- Don't over-edit. If you find yourself rewriting most of the output, fix your Church Profile tone description or Voice Profiles — the next generation will get closer to right out of the gate.
- Email gets a special editor. See Email Newsletter for the HTML/plain text toggle.
