Timezone
Setting your church's timezone makes sure dates, times, and reminders behave the way you expect — Sunday is your Sunday, not UTC's Sunday.
Where to find it
In the sidebar, click Church Profile. Scroll to the Timezone section.
How to set it
Pick your timezone from the dropdown (e.g., "Central Time (US & Canada)", "Eastern Time", "Pacific Time"). Save.
What it affects
- Weekly Reminders — sent at the local time you specified, not UTC
- Week-of dates — "Week of April 27" means your local April 27, not server time
- Public Link Page event dates — shown in your local time so visitors see the right thing
- Generated content — references to "this Sunday" or "tonight" use your local clock
When to update it
- You moved your office to a different timezone
- You're a multi-site church and need to pick the canonical "headquarters" timezone (currently one timezone per account; multi-site is on the roadmap)
- Daylight Saving — you don't need to manually adjust, the timezone setting handles DST automatically
Tips
- Set this on day one. Get it right early so all your reminders land at the right time.
- If reminders feel "off by an hour or three" at any point — check that your timezone is still correct.
