Publishing a Week
Generating a week's content is private — only you and your team see it inside Midweek. Publishing a week makes it visible on your Public Link Page for visitors and members to see.
How to publish
- Open the week you want to publish (from History or right after generating)
- Click Publish to Link Page at the top of the page
That's it. Within seconds, your Link Page updates with this week's sermon, upcoming events, and any other public-facing content.
How to unpublish
- Open a published week
- Click Unpublish
The week is hidden from the Link Page but stays in your History — you can republish later if needed.
Only one week is "live" at a time
Publishing a new week automatically replaces the previously-published week on your Link Page. The old week still exists in History; it's just no longer the public one.
What gets published
From the week's content:
- Sermon title, speaker, scripture
- Upcoming Events blurb
- (Other channels — email, social posts, bulletin — are not on the public page; those are tools for you to use elsewhere)
When to publish
- Tuesday or Wednesday is ideal — gives Link Page visitors the week's info early
- Definitely before Sunday morning — anyone Googling your church on Sunday is looking for "what's happening today"
- Don't publish if the week's content isn't done. It's better to leave last week up than show a half-finished new week.
Tips
- Make publishing part of your weekly checklist. "Generate → review → publish" should take 5 minutes once you're in the rhythm.
- Unpublish if you mess up. Spelled the speaker's name wrong? Unpublish, fix, republish.
