Website Update
The Website Update is "This Week" copy for your church website — clean paragraphs covering all announcements with full details and any links. Typically 200–400 words and informational but warm.
How to access
After generating a week, find the Website Update channel panel.
How to use it
- Click Copy to Clipboard
- Paste into your website CMS — WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, custom, doesn't matter
- Update the page or blog post and publish
What it's good for
- A "This Week at [Church Name]" page or blog post
- The featured content on your homepage
- A weekly news section
How it differs from the email
The Website Update is more informational and less personal:
- No greeting (the website isn't talking to one person)
- No sign-off
- Full link details (the email assumes people will click through later; the website is where they're clicking from)
If you're trying to repurpose, copy the email version for the website would feel weirdly personal. The Website Update version is the right fit.
Tips
- Set up a recurring page (e.g.,
/this-week) and just update its content each week — easier than creating a new page each Sunday. - Don't use this on your homepage if you don't update weekly. Stale "this week" content makes a church look inactive. If you only update monthly, write your own evergreen homepage copy.
- Combine with your Public Link Page — Midweek hosts one too, so if your main site is hard to update, just link to your Midweek page.
